Heat flux, heat loss, U-values, effective thermal resistance, uncertainty ranges, grades and all other results shown on this website, in the Tempfort console, in the dashboard, in the mobile app and in exported reports (together, the “Results”) are estimates calculated from temperature readings and from information you enter. They are provided for general information only.
Results, including any A–D grade, are not an official energy rating, label or certification of any kind. In particular, they are not an EnerGuide rating, an ENERGY STAR score or certification, a HERS Index score or a Home Energy Score, and must not be described as one. EnerGuide and ENERGY STAR are marks of their respective owners. Tempfort is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of Natural Resources Canada, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Government of Ontario, the City of Toronto or any other government, municipality or utility.
Where Results are compared with the Ontario Building Code, Supplementary Standard SB-12, the comparison is for information only. It is not a determination that a building, assembly or product does or does not comply with the Building Code or any other law. Only the authority having jurisdiction, such as your municipal building department, can make that determination.

Results depend on point-in-time readings and on conditions that Tempfort does not control, including sensor placement and contact, air movement, sunlight and other heat sources, weather, heating and occupancy patterns, device calibration, and the accuracy of information you enter such as areas, surface types, outdoor temperature and climate zone. Results can differ from utility bills, from energy audits and from the actual performance of a building. Uncertainty ranges shown with Results describe the calculation, not every possible source of error.
Tempfort does not guarantee any energy savings, cost savings, comfort improvement, property value, rebate eligibility or other outcome from acting on Results.
You must not present Results, grades or reports as an official rating, certification, inspection or compliance document — for example in real estate listings or disclosures, lending or insurance applications, government or utility incentive applications, or legal proceedings.
Numbers, readings, grades and buildings shown on the public website and in the console’s example survey are illustrative samples. They do not describe any real building or customer.
